EcoDomo recycled leather tiles are a resilient, natural flooring option made of materials that are completely renewable within a five-year cycle: leather (65%), natural rubber (20%), and acacia tree bark. The acacia bark is a natural binding used in conjunction with other products. Like cork, acacia bark is harvested from trees that re-grow the bark over time, allowing for sustainable extraction. Like all leather tiles, these EcoDomo will develop a patina over time and reflect the uses and characters of its environment.

ECOsurfaces manufactures commercial recycled rubber flooring in Lancaster, PA. The flooring is made from 100% post-consumer SBR tire rubber and 30% post-industrial EPDM, which is mixed with a polyurethane water-based polymer. This rubber, from passenger vehicle tires and truck retreads, is supplied by industrial facilities that obtain tires from landfills across the country. The rubber is triple distilled in order to ensure all dirt, fiber and metal is removed from the flooring.

EcoTimber offers a wide range of reclaimed and FSC-certified domestic and exotic hardwood and bamboo flooring, including prefinished engineered and floating floors. EcoTimber also offers a variety of urea-formaldehyde free options to ensure more healthful indoor environments. All EcoTimber flooring is milled in standard formats that contractors feel comfortable with and comes with warranties that match the best in the business.

Expanko produces an innovative collection of homogenous cork flooring, as well as cork in a floating system. In 2002 and 2003, Expanko expanded its collection of resilient flooring coverings with the introduction of Reztec rubber flooring and XCR3 cork rubber flooring. The cork material comes from cork oak trees, grown predominately in Europe and North Africa. Once the trees have reached the necessary level of maturity (typically 25 years), the first cork bark is harvested. This process is repeated every nine years, at no time affecting the trees’ health.

Forbo’s Marmoleum collection provides a wide range of linoleum floor coverings with an advanced Topshield finish to protect against scuffmarks and the dirt buildup. Marmoleum, made with natural raw materials, has no adverse health issues, during production, use, or disposal. Installed with solvent-free adhesives, there are no harmful VOCs emitted. Additionally, the anti-static properties of Marmoleum reduce the potential for electric shock, and make the floor easier to clean, as dust and dirt will not easily adhere to it.

A great alternative to traditional terrazzo, Fritztitle manufactures tiles made from post-consumer recycled glass with VOC-free adhesives. Fritztile is low-maintenance, easy to install, and comes with a 20-year warranty. Fritztile also produces multiple underlayments made from post-industrial recycled fly ash.

Globus Cork offers a variety of cork tiles suitable for floors, walls, or ceilings. They are available in a wide range of sizes, patterns, and finishes. In addition to its production from a sustainably harvested material, Globus Cork has a series of benefits, including a soft give underfoot, resistance to dents, and thermal & acoustical insulative qualities. Globus Cork tiles are coated with a premium water-based finish and are highly resistant to stains or water damage, so they can be installed in kitchens and bathrooms.

Plyboo flooring, plywood and veneer is derived from Moso bamboo harvested from a forest that requires no irrigation or pesticides. The company has longstanding, direct relationships with the farmers of its Moso forests and holds tight control over its two manufacturing facilities to ensure quality control and environmentally healthy production processes. In 2007, Plyboo converted its manufacturing operations to produce no added urea-formaldehyde products. All Plyboo products comply with the California Air Resources Board’s (CARB) strictest formaldehyde regulations for composite panels.

Qu-cork’s extreme resilience, impermeability, lightness and insulating efficiency make it suitable for a large number of flooring applications. Additionally, cork is hypoallergenic, mildew, moisture, dust, and pollen resistant. Cork is also anti-static, making it ideal for installation where computers and electronic equipment are used. Qucork can be used both below and above grade because it is flexible, water-resistant, soft, and warm.

Teragren is one of North America's largest manufacturers of environmentally friendly bamboo flooring, stair parts, trim, veneer, and butcher block countertops.
